BetPro Odds Explained: How to Read a BetPro Market
BetPro odds are decimal prices set by users, not by a bookmaker: 1.80 means PKR 1,000 returns PKR 1,800 (PKR 800 profit), and 1 ÷ 1.80 = 56% is the chance the market implies. Each selection shows three blue back prices and three pink lay prices with the PKR available at each; the gap between best back and best lay is the spread. Your risk is the stake on a back and the liability (stake × (odds − 1)) on a lay — shown as exposure at the top of the screen.
- Profit on a back = stake × (odds − 1). Return = stake × odds.
- Implied probability = 1 ÷ odds. 2.00 = 50%, 1.50 = 67%, 4.00 = 25%.
- Blue = back (bet it happens). Pink = lay (bet it doesn't).
- Amount under a price = PKR waiting to be matched at that price.
- Exposure = total at risk across open bets; liability = risk on one lay.
- Commission (~2–3%) is charged on net wins per market, not on the odds.
The three numbers on every BetPro price
- The price — decimal odds. Multiply your stake by it for total return.
- The amount — PKR waiting at that price. Deep amounts mean instant matching.
- The colour — blue back (you’re betting for), pink lay (you’re betting against).
Quick conversion table
| Odds | Return on PKR 1,000 | Profit | Implied chance |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1.25 | 1,250 | 250 | 80% |
| 1.50 | 1,500 | 500 | 67% |
| 1.80 | 1,800 | 800 | 56% |
| 2.00 | 2,000 | 1,000 | 50% |
| 2.50 | 2,500 | 1,500 | 40% |
| 4.00 | 4,000 | 3,000 | 25% |
Where the odds come from
Nobody at BetPro sets them. Users post the prices they want to back or lay at; the exchange matches opposite sides. When a lot of money wants to back Lahore, the back price shortens; when it wants to lay, it drifts. That’s why prices move every ball in-play (live betting) and why they’re sharper than a bookmaker’s on big matches (exchange vs bookmaker).
Odds and your money
- Balance — free funds.
- Exposure — funds locked in open bets. A back’s exposure is its stake; a lay’s is its liability.
- Settlement — after the result, exposure returns to balance as a win (minus commission on the market’s net profit) or is gone.
The dashboard guide shows where each number appears; the odds deep dive covers how to judge whether a price is good.

Read it like this: backing Lahore at 1.74 with PKR 1,000 returns PKR 1,740 if they win (PKR 740 profit). Laying Lahore at 1.75 with PKR 1,000 wins PKR 1,000 if they lose and costs PKR 750 if they win. The 0.01 gap between best back and best lay is the spread — this tight only on liquid matches.
